Works great
I don't know why you would buy the alternative. I ripped out my PAC SWI jack because it wouldn't work right. Connected the simple three wires on this unit, turned on the ignition, and the unit programmed itself in about 30 seconds. And it works great! I have all my buttons working on my Chevy truck steering wheel. When I had the PAC SWI Jack installed, it took the installer quite a while to program it, and then I lost two of my steering wheel buttons because he said it just wont work. Now I have everything and it only took me about ten minutes to install the whole thing. And I have never done this before. The website instructions were perfect and easy.

Much better than SWI PAC interface
Initially had the SWI PAC installed. Response delay to button press with SWI PAC was irritating. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. AXXESS ASWC has much faster response. Auto detect function worked as described. Easy install.

Mod that makes it 5 stars CDSR100
Found intermittent operation when out of the box. Found the review on Amazon recommending a drilled hole, snipped board, and bent LED. This makes it a 5 out of 5. Works like a champ. Remove the battery. Separate top from bottom (did it with my fingernails). Stock uses two LED's to bounce light off your face through black plastic - while this makes for clean packaging - it doesn't pass light well (invisible or not). CAREFULLY bend one of the LED's to point toward your deck instead of your face. Drill a 1/8" hole (found drilling from the inside out easier) pointed toward your deck. Remove the 4 screws on the audio volume board and snip the corner off with a pair of scissors or cutters - right along the closest wire solder pad (not an absolutely necessary mod if you are crunched for time or fear). Position the LED to point toward the hole. Reassemble. 1/2 hour tops - mostly to round up tools. Make it work EVERY time. Positioned mine in an Altima @ 3 o'clock. 1 foot from...

You get what you pay for!
Pioneer Cdsr100 is a steering remote control unit being sold by Pioneer for more than 9 years now. Yes, because it works well with all units, so there was no need to replace it. I am using it with DEH P-80MP (or P-1Y in Asia) for two years and my experience so far with it is just ok. I like the ease to operate, and its excellent design, but hates when it stops working when your car is parked in sun, or when it is too cold. Still, it is value for money product from Pioneer.

I've had a lot of fun playing with this little sucker today.Frankly, I didn't think I'd like it very much. I requested it before I realized what it was. I thought it was a steering wheel with a steering column you attach to a desk, similar to my Logitech Driving Force steering wheel. It's actually an accelerometer... and you hold the wheel, unattached to anything, and with no feedback, just rotate it. The pedals are large paddles, and the gear shifters are smaller clicky paddles.I've played Mario Kart with a wiimote, and thought it was a bit of a gimmick, so I expected this to be the same. It's really much better, though.For one, the accuracy is excellent. Despite the lack of feedback, this is a precise way to steer. I can adjust the sensitivity with a knob, so with a couple of adjustments, I was getting the car to do exactly what I want. A Quality Product That is a Tad Too Big
I am a gamer, have been a gamer for almost as long as I can remember. Right now, I currently game most on my PC, but I also own a Wii so the concept of steering and whirling around a detached controller is pretty second nature to me.This is a niche product for a niche market kind of game that I think will work with some other games, but I haven't had a chance to check those out just yet. I mention this because I found the simraceway game to have a pretty steep learning curve in that there really is no apparent tutorial that I could find. There are testing tracks and ways to practice, but they leave a lot to be desired. It was fun of course. Sometimes so 'laggy' you can't play the game
The graphics and interface are nice. The controls were surprisingly easy to figure out. The main drawback is the lag, the steering wheel is sometimes so 'laggy' it interferes with game play so much you can't play the game.As of this review, Amazon's retail price is 33% lower than the initial price.
